New students autumn 2013

Welcome Reception

Monday, August 26, 1 pm to 5 pm, University Main building

1 pm to 3 pm: Fair with the student nations, other student organisations and university offices

1 pm to 3 pm: Information sessions with, among others, the Student Health Centre, Language Workshop, Tax Office, Uppsala Tourism and banks.

3 pm to 4.15 pm: Welcome Ceremony in the Grand Auditorium with musical entertainment and speeches from the Vice-Chancellor of Uppsala University, the student unions and representatives from the town of Uppsala.

4.15 pm to 5 pm: Mingle with the other new international students in the University Park

 

Arlanda Airport Reception

Friday August 23 and Saturday August 24, 8 am to 8 pm, Arlanda Airport Terminal 5

On Friday August 23 and Saturday August 24 we will be at Arlanda Airport to welcome newly arrived students. We will have a welcome desk outside customs at Terminal 5. If you arrive between 8 am to 8 pm on any of these days, please come meet us!

 

Orientation Programme / Welcome Week

Organized by Uppsala Student Union and the Student Nations together with Uppsala University, the Orientation Programme welcomes all international students to take part in social events, walking tours etc. It is a great chance to meet fellow students, make friends and learn about Uppsala or Swedish traditions.

Details will be available at www.uppsalastudentkar.nu in August. The welcome week will most likely be week 35.

 


Guided Tours

More information on the guided tours offered will be published in early June. The tours offered will be guided bus tours to Stockholm and historical places in the Upplandic countryside.
