Cultural Settings

Uppsala is a town rich in historical cultural settings. Many of them relate to Uppsala University.

For centuries the town has evolved, developing from a quiet idyll to a bustling crossroads for people, cultures, and ideas.

The venerable buildings of the University are still in use today for teaching and as workplaces. Uppsala's old buildings are very much alive. They are places where the old jostles with the new.

A walk through the University campuses is not only a trip through time—it's also a visit to a place where the future springs out of the past.
