The Swedish Academic Collaboration Forum

The Swedish Academic Collaboration Forum (SACF) is a collaboration project involving six Swedish universities. The SACF will facilitate international academic collaborations and enable researchers and research students to become more connected with the global research community.

The project aims to develop and strengthen present research collaboration, create new connections and initiatives between researchers in Sweden and around the world, create opportunities for common research projects on critical global issues, and to create collaboration between companies and researchers through innovation projects.

In pursuit of furthering international academic collaboration and enabling researchers and research students to become more connected with the global research community, six leading Swedish universities will hold seminars in research and higher education in a number of selected countries.

In 2015 and 2016, seminars were held in Brazil, China, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea, with a final meeting held in Stockholm, Sweden.

The seminars will focus on issues of common interest, such as sustainability, life sciences and innovation, and will be held in collaboration between universities, public authorities and the relevant parties in the host countries. All seminars will follow the same structure, mixing research presentations and round-table discussions, and seminars on current topics.

Further activities such as student recruitment fairs, alumni events, scholarship competitions, and meetings with funding bodies and local and regional authorities will be organised in connection with the seminars.
