The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate to graduate level in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.
Duties: The work consists of at least 80 percent of research and no more than 20 percent teaching.
Recruitment period: The period of employment is 2 years with the desired start date September 1st, 2017.
Qualifications required: PhD exam in mathematics. A succesful candidate should have a good programming expertise and experience in computer-assisted proofs. A prior experience in renormalization in dynamical system and/or experience in theoretical or numerical studies of PDE´s, especially the Navier-Stokes equations, is desirable. Ability to teach in Swedish or English is a requirement as well as proficiency in spoken and written English.
Ranking criteria: In ranking eligible candidates, special importance will be given to scientific skills. In filling the position the university aims to recruit the person who, in the combined evaluation of competence, skills and documented qualifications, are judged most suitable to carry out and develop the work-in-hand and to contribute to a positive development of the department.
