The Department of Surgical Sciences (IKV) is a part of the Medical Faculty at Uppsala University. The department has apporoximately 110 employees, more than 170 registred PhD students and a turnover of approximately 120 millions. The department is responsible for undergraduate courses, part of the medical, nursing, logopedic and biomedical program. Furthermore, IKV is responsible for several programs in the nursing profession as well as separate courses and supplementary courses. IKV has a strong connection to the clinical work at the Akademiska sjukhuset.
We are looking for a postdoc in molecular neuroendocrine tumor research.
Research within molecular mechanisms in neuroendocrine tumors, especially epigenetics. In addition, responsibility for the groups's laboratory activities including sample collections, consumables etc.
Applicants should hold a PhD or a degree equivalant to a PhD, not older than 3 years.
Particular emphasis will be placed on scientific skills within molecular research of neuroendocrine tumors, especially epigenetics. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
