Researcher in biophysics

The Department of Cell and Molecular Biology is one of the most international, broad and distinguished biomolecular departments in Europe, comprising six research programs covering subjects such as bioinformatics, microbiology, and biophysics.

The Kasson group in the Laboratory of Molecular Biophysics, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology seeks a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to an ongoing project on antibiotic resistance and small-molecule transport.   

Duties
As a reaseacher with us you will be responsible for your own full-time research, where you perform calculations of simulation and experimental data using molecular dynamics simulation as well as statistical learning. Mentorship of younger researchers in the laboratory will also be included in the service. The mentorship and other development responsibilities will not exceed 20%. This position will involve computational integration of simulation and experimental data using molecular dynamics simulation and statistical learning.

Requirements
PhD and scientific background in biophysics or a closely related field, strong publication track record versus years of experience, and successful demonstration of scientific knowledge. Prior experience in computational modeling of antibiotic transport is required. Strong programming skills are required, as is expertise in either molecular dynamics simulation of biomolecules and statistical mechanics, machine learning, or both. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, as well as the ability to work with others and learn new things are prerequisites.
