The Department of Sociology at Uppsala University is seeking a qualified research assistant to conduct empirical work on electronic platforms trading workforce/labor/services. Duties: Doing interviews, participant observation and observation of sellers and buyers using electronic platforms. The details of the project will be decided in conversation with the project leader.
Requirements: At least ongoing master level education (or equivalent) in social science with a strong preference for sociology. Computer literate, experience of doing, for example interviewing and participant observation, and analyzing qualitative work.
Your application should include:
- A short letter in which you write about your relevant skills, experience of electronic platform, and describe what you find puzzling with them
- Written samples (thesis, articles etc.)
- A list of no more than three reference persons.
