About the course

The course introduces you to theories and perspectives for analysing the role digital media and information technologies play in contemporary mediatised societies. Key concepts and debates on mediatisation, social media and digital information technologies are introduced. The course focuses particularly on media and culture interconnectedness and discusses economic, political and cultural aspects of the society that is emerging in the wake of a changing media and communication landscape.
