Learning outcomes

On completion of the course the student should, with some support, be able to:

• Plan, carry out and document experimental work
• Describe orally and in writing performed experiments and their theoretical background

Content

Under the guidance of a researcher, the student will participate in a specified project for 10 weeks. By studying literature assigned by the supervisor, the student will obtain an understanding of the theoretical background of the project.

Instruction

Laboratory work and self-study under supervision. Participation in seminars relevant to the subject of the project assigned by the supervisor. The instruction can be given completely or partly in English.

Assessment

For a Pass grade, the student should fulfil the learning outcomes of the course. This includes presenting the project work as a seminar within the group where the work has been carried out. Furthermore, a report should be written and approved by the examiner. The grade passed or failed is given by the examiner after consultation with the supervisor.
