About the course

The course is about how to use land and plan as efficiently as possible for energy production while also taking into account the environment. Topics like energy policies, wind power policy, spatial and environmental planning, planning strategies/methods, opinion and local ownership. Effects on the environment and their mitigation as well as noise or visual impacts, among others, will be studied. You will also analyse the wind power policy and planning strategy in various countries, regions or municipalities, along real-world cases and documents.

Outline for distance course: The course is given as a net-based course. Assignments are submitted in the e-classroom online and you will receive personal feedback from the teacher. The course also includes other mandatory exercises. A forum for discussion and collaborative tasks is available.
