The two body problem. Computation of orbital elements from observational data. Calculation of position coordinates from orbital elements. Orbital perturbations and Lagrange's planetary equations. The many body problem and numerical orbital computations using professional software. Basic satellite and rocket dynamics. The importance of celestial mechanics for the understanding of the development of the solar system.
