Priority is given to students enrolled in the Bachelor Programmes in Peace and Conflict, in Political Science or in Social Sciences. Lectures are held in English; seminars and written assignments can be carried out in either Swedish or English.
About the course:
The purpose of the course is to give students more in depth knowledge of the theories and methods of peace and conflict research, and to further practice the skill of conducting an independent research assignment. Issues concerning both the causes of armed conflict and conflict resolution are addressed. The course consists of three modules: 1. Methods (7.5 credits); 2. Analysing Arguments in Conflict Studies (7.5 credits); 3. Thesis writing (15 credits).
