Lectures are held in English; seminars and written assignments can be carried out in either Swedish or English.
Students admitted to the Bachelor's programme in Peace and Development Studies, the Bachelor's programme in Political Science or the Bachelor's programme in Social Sciences have priority to the course.
About the course:
The purpose of the course is to give students more in depth knowledge of the theories and methods of peace and conflict research, and to further practice the skill of conducting an independent research assignment. Issues concerning both the causes of armed conflict and conflict resolution are addressed. The course consists of three modules: 1. Methods (7.5 credits); 2. Analysing Arguments in Conflict Studies (7.5 credits); 3. Thesis writing (15 credits).
