Learning outcomes

After completing this course the student shall be able to


  • collect relevant data in the field

  • identify, classify and analyse field data that are relevant within the meteorology field

  • assess the importance of the site characteristics on the observed field data

  • treat and interpret such data, and present analyses in scientific contexts, or alternatively in a suitable way for other employers.

Content

The course contain relevant fieldobservations made at a specific site or within a given area. The field observations shall be analysed, interpreted and presented in a report and an oral presentation.

Instruction

Lectures and field practicals. Participation in the practicals is compulsory.

Assessment

The course is graded based on the written report and the oral presentation.

Other directives

The field course will cause costs for travel and accommodation for the student.
