Spend your summer learning more about Sustainable Development, Urban Agriculture and growing your own food in Uppsala!
The course starts with a lecture, seminar and planning centered introduction focused on different global examples, theories and design principles concerning permaculture and local food systems. It then goes on to its main phase which is focused on practical, applied urban agriculture in Uppsala or a location selected after consultation with the course management. As with other courses at CEMUS CSD Uppsala, the course brings together local researchers and practitioners in a creative and interdisciplinary atmosphere.
With the skills acquired during the course and some luck, you can hopefully harvest your own vegetables after the course is concluded.
Syllabus with reading list
For every course there is a formal course syllabus. This contains the course name, extent and purpose. The course syllabus also provides information about content, literature and how the examination will take place.
