Master students from Informatics and Media show their work

4 June 2015

What does it mean to do a master thesis? This Friday you have a golden opportunity to find out, when some of the master students at the department of Informatics and Media holds a public poster seminar.

The students come from no less than four different programs: the master programs in systems science, human - computer interaction, social science focussed on digital media and society, and the cross-disciplinary program in management, communication, and IT.

Twelve theses are presented, covering a wide range of subjects with the common denominator that they all study IT-related phenomena. For example, Elin Lundkvist and Gustav Persson will present their study of organizational management of service-oriented architectures at Scania. The communication scientist Kirill Filimonov has investigated the feminist rhetorics of FI for the Swedish election in 2014. Elif Bakyar has studied the possibility to use forum discussions as a source of user profiling, and Wenfei Dong has studied the problem of estimating the development time in agile development projects.

The seminar takes place in Lokstallarna in Ekonomikum between 14:00-16:00 on Friday June 5th. The seminar's opening speech is presented by Mats Edenius, head of the department.
