The Faculty of Pharmacy started its activities in Stockholm as the Royal Pharmaceutical Institute in 1837. It moved to Uppsala as the Faculty of Pharmacy in 1968, residing at the Biomedical Centre, and is a part of the Scientific Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy, with many years of successful research and education.
The 50 years is celebrated with a scientific symposium on “Drug therapies – challenges and possibilities”, with many prominent invited speakers, as well as a debate on how to remain successful in drug development in the 50 years to come.
