Linné 2007 - the Linnaeus Tercentenary!
In 2007 Uppsala University was celebrating the 300th anniversary of its best-known professor of all time. Science was the focus of these celebrations, with conferences, publications, music, children’s activities, and events of all kinds. But the tercentenary year was also celebrated in many other places ― in Uppsala, throughout Sweden, and internationally.

The expansive Norrland region demonstrated curiosity, creativity and go, in true Linnaeus spirit, as guests and media from all over the world gathered last weekend at the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel to celebrate the end of the Linnaeus Tercentenary.
