Third call for scholarships in PEACE!

The PEACE project offers scholarships to study at one of our European partner universities.

The third and last call in PEACE will be open from September 1st to November 30th, 2014.

The call will only be open to nationals of Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua.

The call will offer 12 scholarships:

  • Six (6) Master exchanges (10 months)
  • Six (6) Master degrees (10 months)

Please note that 10 months is the only possible duration of a scholarship. If A master program you are interested in is 22 months you will not be able to apply for it through PEACE

All students can apply to Uppsala University, Masaryk University (Master exchange only!), Université Montpellier 2, Göttingen University (master exchange only!), Ghent University and Groningen University, but please note that it will only be possible to apply to Valladolid for the following students:

  • Persons belonging to Indigenous groups or minorities
  • Persons with a refugee status
  • Persons living under difficult socio-economic conditions
  • People with a disability
  • Persons that have been discriminated against on the grounds of ethnicity, religion or sexuality

The scholarships are open to all academic fields (except music and arts). There is no age limit to apply. 

The scholarships include the following:

Monthly stipend
1000 € (bachelor/master)

Travel to and from Europe

Comprehensive health insurance

Costs related to the scholarship
residence permit (visa), transport to and from airport etc.

Tuition fees
PEACE grantees do not pay any tuition fees at the EU host university.

What are the requirements for the scholarships?

The requirements differ on the different academic levels and between the EU-universities. You can find out more about each EU-university by checking out the information about each EU university. If you have any specific questions it is recommended that you get in contact with the representative from each university.

Some rules apply to all scholarships:

  • You cannot have gotten an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 scholarship on the same level previously (staff excluded)
  • You cannot have lived in the EU for more than 12 months during the last 5 years (minorities and indigenous groups are excluded from this rule).

Some specific rules only applies to certain academic levels.

Master exchange students

  • You must be enrolled in a master program at your home university

Master degree students

  • You must have completed your bachelor degree before the start of the mobility
