Call for Expressions of Interest: MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Masterclass at Uppsala University
The Centre for Multidisciplinary Research on Religion and Society at Uppsala University invites excellent researchers to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships with our centre as the host institution and calls for expressions of interest in developing such applications. Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to join a university wide masterclass providing comprehensive support in the development of the application.
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships call aims to attract and support outstanding researchers in their pursuit of excellent, innovative and impactful research projects that broadly fall in the areas of research in focus at CRS that fall within the fields of research on religion and society and would benefit from placement in a vibrant multidisciplinary research environment. More information on the on-going research at the centre, thematic areas of focus for research and possible supervisors can be found on the CRS website. Objectives:
- To enhance the research excellence and internationalization of CRS and Uppsala University.
- To attract and train highly skilled researchers to apply for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships.
- To foster interdisciplinary and possibly also intersectoral collaborations.
Fellowship Types:
- European Fellowships: For researchers moving within Europe or coming to Europe from any country in the world. Researchers of any nationality can apply.
- Global Fellowships: For researchers based in Europe who wish to spend time outside Europe and then return. Only nationals or long-term residents of the EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries can apply.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and have up to 8 years of research experience after their PhD.
- Should comply with mobility rules: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (for European Postdoctoral Fellowships), or the host organisation for the outgoing phase (for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline

- If you are selected you will secure a spot in our MSCA Masterclass: Comprehensive support in proposal preparation, including training sessions and individual consultations.

Application Process: Interested candidates should submit the following documents to Martha Middlemiss Lé Mon (Martha.middlemiss@crs.uu.se) by March 1:
- A detailed CV, including a list of publications (any format).
- A short application that includes a research proposal (max. 1 page) and motivation for your selection of supervisor at the Department of Theology or amongst the Scientific advisory board for CRS (you should reach out to the potential supervisor beforehand to ask if they are willing to host you)
