Seminar: Multimodal sentiment analysis on social media data

Sentiment analysis seeks to automatically detect the sentiment (positive, negative or neutral) present in various text sources. However, platforms such as YouTube, Twitter or Reddit, allow users to add additional multimedia elements to their posts such as audio, video, images, animations and live broadcasts. In this seminar, we will explore and discuss the potential of including such elements in text-based sentiment analysis and determine whether there is an improvement in detecting the sentiment captured in a post, which is known as Multimodal Sentiment Analysis.
