Sexual selection - more than genes
The notion amongst some scientists, spread by many media outlets, that the most important part of reproductive strategies is to spread our genes to the next generation, has shaped a picture of promiscuous sex-hungry males and coy, resource-vying females. Jonathan P. Drury, evolutionary biologist from UCLA and visiting researcher at the Centre for Gender Research, will challenge this idea in evolutionary biology by providing a “more-than-genes” perspective.
Welcome to an open seminar in the lunch room of the Centre for Gender Research, Thursday August 25 at 14.00 - 15.45.
