Eva Flicker, new guest researcher at the Centre

Eva Flickers field of research is Communication and gender knowledge, Visual sociology, sociology of film and media, group dynamics. Flicker has her disciplinary background in sociology but has been active in interdisciplinary fields like political science, cultural studies, STS, organisation studies and group dynamics. Her research interests base on feminist theory and gender studies and circulate diverse aspects of communication and gender knowledge in different social systems. Her current current research focus lies on visual representation of gender within elite social systems (politics, economy, etc.) in international media and the role of pictures as part of a global discourse of power. Eva Flicker will be staying at the Centre for Gender Research until the end of June.
