Successful researchers at the Centre
Several of the Centre's researchers received funding during the autumn. Among them Signe Bremer who will start a new project about transgender persons living in the city.
PhD Signe Bremer got funding from Forte for a 3-year long project about safety, vulnerability, and resistance in transgender persons' stories about everyday life in the city.
Associate professor Minna Salminen Karlsson and two colleagues received money from Vinnova for a project about gender equality in governmental staff statistics and salaries.
Furthermore, PhD Jenny Ingemarsdotter received a grant from Vetenskapsrådet (VR) for a 3-year long international postdoc, shared between the Centre and the University of Manchester, Great Britain. Her project is called Female Masculinity in Interwar Sweden. Play, Agency, Desire.
Finally, former guest researcher PhD Karin S Lindelöf got a grant from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) for a project about conditions for women's exercise, looking at Swedish so called girl races (tjejlopp). She will return to the Centre for a 3-year long stay.
