Jacob Bull tilldelas medel från Formas

Jacob Bull, researcher at the Centre has been granted 5,1 million kronor by The Swedish Research Council Formas for his project Changing Animal Bodies: Breeding Responses to Environmental Economic, and Social pressures. Co-applicants are Camilla Eriksson and Helena Nordström Källström, both at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

The project uses three cases to illustrate how farming has, is currently, and might respond to changing socio-environmental contexts. These cases will examine breeding strategies as a response to 1) the changing economic circumstances of poultry production, 2) the contested politics of traditional breeds and 3) the environmental pressures faced by pollinating insects. It will develop collaborations between the Centre of Gender Research and SLU and will create four new posts at the Centre and two at SLU.
