25 participants from all over the world came to contribute and take part of this event. The two day conference was filled with inspiring lectures, discussions, presentations, artistic contributions (see the picture below), papers etc. The three keynote speakers were: Astrida Neimanis, Serpil Opperman and Kathy High.

Gender, Body, Health is a Nordic network established in 2008 by the Centre for Gender Research and currently hosted by us. The network gathers researchers and practitioners from a number of diverse fields such as medicine, comparative literature, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, cultural geography, sports- and health sciences, psychiatry, social psychology, and history of science. The network has the ambition to transgress conventional disciplinary frameworks which is currently limiting understandings and conceptualization of issues concerning gender, body, and health.
