Health Innovation - An Interdisciplinary Approach 2019

This is the course for you with interest in learning about health innovations and how your knowledge, skills and ideas can improve and develop health care!

The course targets students and practitioners from different fields with at least a bachelor’s degree. The interdisciplinarity is important for the course and for the outcomes! The course will run once a week in late afternoons from February until May 2019 consisting of lectures and workshops.

The course will be divided in three themes:

  • Developing health innovations: What is a health innovation?; How to develop health innovations?; How to work in interdisciplinary teams to develop health innovations? What support is available?

  • Producing health innovations: How to produce health innovations?; How to protect and fund health innovations?; What are the legal barriers for health innovation and the ethical aspects?; How to apply a CE mark?

  • Implementing health innovations: How to implement health innovations?; What is procurement of health innovations?; How to evaluate health innovations?; How is health innovation fostered in health care?

In addition to the above, working in intersciplinary teams to develop a health innovation and training pitching is an integrated part of the course included in each of the three themes.
