Mental wellbeing of university students
Uppsala University hereby announces the 6th annual EIT Health Innovation Day. Join us online 13th of October to boost your innovational spirit, work with fellow students across faculty borders and create solutions that will have a real impact for university students. Learn practical tools as design thinking and pitching skills and put them to practice. This year the winning idea/team have reserved spots at an exclusive international innovation event at the Netherlands embassy, all inclusive and exceptional networking posibilities for your future careers.
This year our case will focus on the highly relevant topic of mental wellbeing of university students. Our case owner is Uppsala University and the the winning solutions will be included in a university project called Students' mental well-being - how can the university contribute that will be disseminated to Uppsala University’s decision makers at all levels. Take this opportunity to learn a process for innovation and make a real change!
Innovation Day is included in the Health week arranged by the Student Health Service at Uppsala University. The event takes place in conjunction with WHOs Mental Health Day (October 10th) and Uppsala Health Summit with the theme Mental Wellbeing (October 18-20).

Prices: The winning idea/team will:
- be part of a team from Uppsala University that is invited to the Netherlands embassy in Stockholm 25-27 October 2021 to spend an all-inclusive event with students from Groningen University for an exclusive innovation experience. More information here.
- participate and compete in the European Innovation Day, togehter with the winners from other Innovation Days across Europe.
- pass forward your idea and make an impact for future students by introducing your innovation to case owner/ steering group at Uppsala University working with the project to improve mental wellbeing for the students.
The three winning groups will receive a goody bag from EIT Health.
What is iDay?
IDay is a concept by EIT Health that lets you join design jams that combine training in innovation process with design challenges provided by real-world actors for change. Work interdisciplinary with fellow students across faculty boundaries to train your innovation-, problem solving- and pitching skills.
