WE Health: Free training for female leaders
2020-08-10
WE Health (Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in health innovation) supports female leaders and innovators in identifying and taking advantage of opportunities, so they can generate new sources of value. This is a free online training for female senior executives and innovators in healthcare.
The educational offer is intended to build capacity among those who are leading and driving innovation in different settings and functions, thus enhancing cross-learning and networking.
The programme will enable participants to drive innovation inside the organisation, to seize on and develop talents and to deal with practical challenges, in order to realise the full potential of innovation. Over the three days, participants will have chance to engage in a rigorous debate on the key issues affecting healthcare innovation. Along with examining cases, the module will permit interaction with faculty members and peer-to-peer synergies, to provide a broad perspective and insights that can shape your professional future and growth as a female leader in healthcare.
Online course may also allow in-person attendance
The programme will be offered online with no fees. However, if the COVID-19 situation permits, the programme will be organised in a hybrid format, allowing some of the participants to attend the sessions face-to-face at IESE Business School in Barcelona. Any in-person programme would follow the rigorous safety and health measures on being enacted on the IESE campus. Participants who attend in Barcelona would have to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
The Project – WE Health
The project "Empowering Women in Health Innovation" (WE Health) is a strategic project of the EIT Health CAMPUS Programme that started in 2017. The project aims to enhance the participation of women in health innovation and entrepreneurial activities, by providing capacity-building specifically tailored to their needs and by inspiring and supporting them to advance in their professional careers.
The WE Health project seeks to fulfil the following objectives:
- Developing new activities and services (training and mentoring) tailored to the specific needs of women, taking into account the findings from our assessment study and literature review on gender-specific topics.
- Creating a space for all interested actors involved in women entrepreneurship and gender issues, through the design and setting up of a Network of Women Health Innovators.
- Raising awareness of the need for more women-led start-ups and women health leaders, by means of new communications, tools, and content.
