80 credits in biology equivalent to the basic course in biology within the Bachelor Programme in Biology/Molecular Biology.
Classes take place during two evenings (Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5-7 pm) per week throughout the spring term with a break during Easter (6-10 April 2020). The number of classes will be just above 20. The types of teaching will be lectures and discussion seminars. Some of the lectures will be given by invited lecturers who are experts in their subject area.
About the course:
This course provides an overview of human physiology and anatomy, and is intended mainly for students without extensive knowledge of the biology of organisms. It meets the needs of students that in the future will work as School teachers.
The course includes a review of the structure and function of many of the body's organ systems such as the nervous system, circulatory system and digestive tract. The course also includes elements that deal with course of events from conception to birth and breastfeeding. During the course sexually transmitted diseases, first aid and also how such things as tobacco, alcohol and various types of drugs affect the human body will be discussed
