About the course
The optimisation of wind farms based on technical, economic, environmental and social aspects will be studied. These aspects of a wind farm project will also include consideration of infrastructure such as the grid and roads. Multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods will be introduced as an appropriate operational tool in the decision aiding process for wind power development and will be applied on relevant portions. A proposal for the best solution regarding the optimum level of exploitation of wind power in a given area will be formulated.
For every course there is a formal course syllabus. This contains the course name, extent and purpose. The course syllabus also provides information about content, literature and how the examination will take place.
