Entry requirements
60 credits within the Bachelor programme in Environmental Science.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student shall have experience in professional activities relevant for the field of education.
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- give examples on how professional environmental activities are organised and carried out
- show a deeper understanding and appliance of given education in environmental science
- describe various example of environmentally related work
Content
The student participates in the ordinary activities within a company, authority or organisation. Under supervision the student shall take part in activities that are relevant for the education. Before the start of the internship, the workplace, the local supervisor and a plan for the internship shall be passed by the institution. The student is responsible for finding an appropriate place for his/her internship.
Instruction
Teaching is given through an introduction at the university followed by individual supervision at the place for the internship.
Assessment
Continuous written documentation of the ongoing work, followed by a written and oral report after the internship is finished.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
