Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, students should be able to
- describe the concepts Industry 4.0 and Industrial Analytics at a general level,
- give an account of the various components of the production system and production data and carry out a simple process mapping,
- use digital analytical tools to improve production systems,
- carry out and reflect on work in project form,
- apply the basics of writing technical reports with regard to structure and reference management,
- write simple programmes in a given development environment.
Content
Introduction to the concepts Industrial Analytics and Industry 4.0 and the engineer's role in the field. The production system's various components, digital models, basic programming, data management and data analysis, production data and process mapping. Report writing.
Instruction
Lectures, seminars and supervision of group assignment.
Assessment
Written presentation of assignments, active participation in seminars, and oral and written presentation of project work.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding targeted pedagogical support from the university's disability coordinator.
