Entry requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or social science. Wind Power Development and Management, 15 credits, Planning for Wind Energy, 5 credits, Wind Resource Assessment, 5 credits and Wind Turbine Technology, 5 credits, as well as participation in Wind Power Grid Integration, 5 credits. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

Learning outcomes
On completion of the course the student shall be able to:
- evaluate the technical, economic and planning possibilities and trends in the wind industry
- evaluate the possibilities and risks of wind power development in different conditions
Content
The wind industry is undergoing dynamic development. The course will take up the technical, economic and planning trends within the industry related to this dynamic development. Special focus is placed on offshore and other wind power developments in extreme conditions. The course will also touch upon the role of wiind power in energy transition and integration in the power system.
Instruction
Guestlectures, lectures, field work and seminars.
Assessment
Written and oral assignments, and active participation in seminars (3 credits). Project report and presentation (2 credits).
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the disability coordinator of the university.
