    120 credits in Pharmaceutical Science and Chemistry. Previous studies should contain Physiology 7.5 credits, Pharmacology 7.5 credits, Pharmacokinetics 7 credits and Pharmacotherapy 6 credits.

Decisions and guidelines

The degree project can be carried out within or outside the university or as a collaborative project. The subject should be established by the examiner at the Faculty of Pharmacy after having consulted student and supervisor. Before course introduction, choices of supervisors and the planning of the work should be accepted by the Faculty of Pharmacy's examiner. The student should be registered at the Faculty of Pharmacy. In addition to the compulsory written and oral presentation of the degree project it should also be presented in a popular science manner through participation with a poster or a talk in a symposium that is organised at the end of the semester.

This course replaces and corresponds to Degree Project in Pharmacotherapy 3FB071 or 3FB430.

Content

An individual assignment that is carried out guided by a supervisor in close connection with ongoing research or development projects.

Instruction

Teaching will be announced in the form of individual supervision seminars and literature studies. Compulsory parts of the course: written presentation of the degree project as well as oral presentation of the work through participation in a general seminar announced by the department as well as a popular compilation of the project work in the form of e g a poster or a talk in the symposium that is organised in the end of the semester.

Assessment

The degree project is presented orally and written in a report that has the form of a scientific essay, including a popular compilation. A passing grade requires passed oral presentation including opposing on another student's project (1,5 credits), participation in the student symposium (1,5 credits), passed written report and participation in all other compulsory parts.

If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
