About the course

Is the earth a safe place for mankind, and if so for how long? Is it possible to map and avoid threats from space? How long can the universe continue to sustain life? In the course the future of the solar system, the milky way and the universe will be discussed. Other topics are possible astronomical threats to life on earth and different cosmological dooms day scenarios. The course can be taken without specific background knowledge in astronomy or science.
