About the course
In the course you will learn how to make energy calculations using the Wind Atlas Programme windPRO together with the WAsP module. You will learn how to input data such as maps, wind statistics, information on roughness and heights as well as how these can be used in the calculations and interpreting results. The evaluation of the quality of input data is also reviewed. Optimisation calculations are performed in windPRO for a single wind turbine as well for a wind farm within the criteria of finding the best possible energy production while causing the lowest environmental impact. The suitability of the choice of turbine and its placement will be evaluated using the results of noise and shadow calculations.
