About the course
In this course the concept of wind energy and the different methods that are used for wind resource assessment will be explored. Further, the factors having an influence on the wind and what they mean when assessing the wind resource at a site will be studied. Wind energy calculation methods, including how they model the wind to calculate the energy production of a wind turbine will be investigated. Different wind measurement methods and their aims of evaluating the wind conditions at a site for wind power projects are also explored.
