    Outline for distance course: The course is given as a net-based course. Assignments are submitted in the e-classroom on internet and you will receive personal feedback by the teacher. The course also includes other mandatory exercises. A forum for discussion is available. The Windows software windPRO is used in the course.

Entry requirements: 30 credits in wind power project management including Wind Power Planning and Permission, 7.5 credits, as well as participation in Wind Power Energy Calculations, 7.5 credits, and Wind Power Installation, Operations and Maintenance, 7.5 credits.

Please note: The course is in English but hand-in assignments and project report can be submitted in Swedish.

About the course

Using the skills from previous courses and course literature regarding the economics and planning of a project, each student will make a feasibility study for a wind power project. The course addresses the identification of the project's stakeholders, its investment and financing, the planning system in which it is to be built, contract responsibility as well as project planning and auditing. During the feasibility study, both the windPRO and WAsP wind resource assessment tools will be used.
