120 credits including (1) 90 credits in chemistry and physics, including 60 credits in chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry, 10 credits, and Physical Chemistry, 5 credits, or (2) 75 credits in physics or chemistry and participation in 30 credits of courses in materials science. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

About the course
Catalysis is central in living systems as well as industrial processes. The course covers the basic principles of catalysis, including kinetics and mechanistic models, design of electrocatalytic materials, surface properties and function in heterogeneous catalysis, and reactivity of coordination compounds. Representative examples will be collected from heterogeneous-, homogenous- and bio-catalysis of relevance to renewable energy.
