About the course
Protein science is fundamental for research in biochemistry, biology and medicine, as well as for development in biotech and pharma industry. The course focuses on the structural and functional properties of proteins, as well as important areas of their use in scientific research and industrial applications. You will get practical experience of the production of proteins and the determination of their properties.
The design of new proteins with tailored properties, for example enzymes with new catalytic properties and proteins to be used as drugs, will also be covered. A significant part of the course will be dedicated to the role of proteins as drug targets and how they are used for the discovery of new drugs.
