Entry requirements: 120 credits including participation in either Introduction to Image Analysis or Computer-Assisted Image Analysis. Proficiency in English equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

About the course

Many imaging systems have been developed in the last decades. This course introduces these in a uniform manner and investigates their opportunities and limitations to give you the tools needed to evaluate and use such systems. Examples of techniques that can be covered are CCD/CMOS sensors, laser scanning, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, IR sensors and thermal cameras, multispectral imaging och spectrometers, active and passive microwave sensors, different types of tomography, MR, CT, PET, SPECT, ultrasound and atomic force microscopy.
