    Outline for distance course: The course contains eight compulsory seminars via Zoom (daytime). The course is web-based and consists of modules that students go through independently, as well as web-based seminars. Active participation in all seminars is mandatory. Absence from any of these will need to be compensated. To be able to participate in web-based modules and teaching via Zoom, a computer / tablet / smartphone with internet connection as well as a headset and webcam are required.

About the course

The course gives you a broad introduction to research ethics. It also gives you the opportunity to practice your skills in researching, writing, and communicating your research in an ethical way and based on the national and international rules and guidelines in research ethics. The course strengthens your ability to reflect on your own ideas and values in regard to the research ethics problems.

You are expected to understand why these issues have become important for/in science, relate how society and the scientific community has tried to address the issues, and to have developed the skill to reflect on such issues.
