Entry requirements: Arabic A, Arabic B and at least 22.5 credits from Arabic C (not C2) or corresponding courses in the Bachelor's Programme in Oriental Studies

About the course

The course aims to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of a selection of research methods often used in the study of the Semitic languages, and to carry out an individual research assignment in an independent work of 15 credits.

  • Module 1: Literary Theory and Method for Philological Studies in the Languages of the Middle East, Central, East and South Asia, 7.5 credits
  • Module 2: Introduction to Arabic philology, 7.5 credits
  • Module 3: Degree project for the Bachelor's degree, 15 credits
