About the course

In our industrialised, "post-natural" world, how can we imagine ecosystem balance? This course examines how literatures in English represent and apprehend the environment via what is conventionally referred to as nature writing. This archive touches on a wide array of themes from environmental justice and conservationism to the sanctification of nature as a critique of modern society.
