About the course
Do you wish to improve your reading skills regarding academic texts? In this course, you will practice reading and comprehending the text types that are common in higher education. The course develops your reading skills through analysis and discussion of Swedish academic texts of various lengths, concerning structure and content. You will improve your vocabulary and learn how to approach reading to improve your ability to deal with and understand different types of academic texts, including lengthy texts. The course meets the needs of students across various disciplines.
The course is well-suited to be combined with the following:
- Academic Writing for Students with Swedish as a Second Language or Swedish as a Foreign Language, 7.5 credits
- Oral Communication in Academic Contexts for Students with Swedish as a Second Language or Swedish as a Foreign Language, 7.5 credits
- Writing in Academic Contexts for Students with Swedish as a Second Language or Swedish as a Foreign Language, 7.5 credits
