Entry Requirements: 7,5 credits in areas of Expression in Convergent Media, graphic design, interactive media or culture and media.

About the course:

2D animation deals with creating storyboards, characters and backgrounds that are animated in two-dimensional environments. In this introductory course you will explore the key concepts of animation and storytelling, and also produce your own animated character. 

The course includes animation theory and basic design and animation techniques for timeline-based animation and games. The course includes an overview of moving image development, basic traditional and digital techniques, character development and animation, and independent practical exercises using Adobe Animate. The course concludes with a small individual project where students get the opportunity to develop their skills in an independent and creative way.
