- Programme syllabus
Whether you want to start your own company or develop new businesses for existing companies and organisations, the one-year Master's Programme in Entrepreneurship prepares you for a future career beyond the ordinary. You will learn to manage the challenges of getting a new business off the ground and master the introduction of new products and services within already established companies. You will also have the option to complete an internship that lets you apply your entrepreneurial skills in practice.
Why this programme?
This one-year Master's programme prepares you for the successful launching and development of new business ideas. During the first part of the programme, you will get the opportunity to define and evaluate your own business idea, and write a full-fledged business plan that you may turn into practice throughout the programme. You will also learn about what it takes to organise and grow a start-up venture, and about the challenges of pursuing entrepreneurship within already established companies.
During the second part of the programme, you may opt for a tutored internship, which allows you to try out your business idea, or become involved in a development project in an already existing company. If you instead go for the continued coursework option, you can follow elective courses that you see as particularly important for your future career as an entrepreneur.
Whatever your choice and preference, you will become part of the Uppsala Entrepreneurship Programme Alumni Network, and also be introduced to various sources of funding and incubators in the Uppsala ecosystem for start-ups.
The programme is run by the Department of Business Studies that is home to active researchers who lead their fields in the areas of entrepreneurship, international business, industrial marketing, institutional analysis, and accounting and finance. Additionally, Sweden is one of the world's most innovative countries and has long been fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Therefore, you will benefit from Sweden's outstanding reputation for innovation, entrepreneurship and social responsibility; values that inform all of our Master's programmes.

Degree
The programme leads to a Master of Social Science (60 credits) with Entrepreneurship as the main field of study.
Programme
The first semester of the programme covers the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including the generation and evaluation of new business ideas and the translation of those ideas into a fully developed business plan. You will also learn to handle the various challenges of taking your new venture from a start-up to a rapidly growing firm, and what it takes to pursue entrepreneurship within already established companies.
During the second semester, you can choose between doing an internship and continued coursework.
