Carolina Frände is a doctoral student at the department of management, organization and society at Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University. In her dissertation, she examines artistic leadership in Swedish theatre from a relational and feminist perspective.
"Being a professional theatre director since 25 years, my thesis stands on a double epistemological ground, at an intersection of knowledge on scientific and artistic basis. The artistic aspects become particularly clear methodologically, in the practices of collecting, understanding and analyzing research data. I have also made use of artistic skills to concretize and deepen my understanding of the process being a doctoral student, of thesis-writing and of how research takes shape as a profession. In this seminar I will briefly present, but first and foremost show the three-dimensional model I have built as a multi-sensory representation of my thesis work."
