On 27 January, people all over the world gather in an annual manifestation. It is the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust – the same date that the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated in 1945.

Join us in honouring the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and show your support for the equal value of all people.

During the evening, we will listen to lectures on the White Buses rescue operation and relief work in Sweden after the Holocaust. We will also see the awarding of the Emerich Roth scholarship and enjoy music during the break.

Participants:

  • Charlotte Petri Gornitzka, Governor of Gotland County
  • Lecture by Associate Professor Pontus Rudberg who leads a research project on the rehabilitation of Holocaust survivors in Sweden during the post-war period
  • White Bus group from the Red Cross in Malmö

Compère: Magnus Ihreskog

The event will be held in Swedish.

Free admission. Welcome!
