Region Gotland (specifically the Organisation for World Heritage Work), together with Campus Gotland (specifically the Department of Quality Science), has conducted research into the challenges and opportunities that Visby’s World Heritage status presents for residents, businesses and tourists.
Our open lecture will lay out the main results of a poll conducted among Visby’s residents regarding the impacts and good sides of the UNESCO world heritage. It’s a unique project as such a work was never conducted before. Our main results demonstrate that, while there is generally speaking a ‘good feeling’ among Visbyans towards their heritage, there are nonetheless some points which must be catered for. The results will be taken into account in future strategies for our UNESCO heritage.
The open lecture will be in English (questions may be put in English or Swedish). No registration needed.
Welcome!
